This is a quick, light and a refreshing dessert that can be made with a very few ingredients.
1, 6 oz (Total 0 %) Fage brand Greek Yogurt,
2 tablespoons of unsalted, chopped Almonds,
1/2 teaspoon of Powdered Cardamom (any local grocery store),
Few Saffron threads (available at any local grocery store, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Amazon.com),
A Dessert cup (I used a stemless red wine glass).
Soak about 6-8 saffron threads in a tablespoon of water for about 30 mins. Add the saffron water, a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of powdered cardamom to the yogurt & mix.
To assemble the dessert, spoon about 1/3 of the flavored yogurt into the wine glass. Add some chopped almonds & a couple of swirls of honey, followed by a layer of the flavored yogurt. Repeat with a layer of chopped almonds & honey & then a final layer of the yogurt. Top with the remaining almond pieces, a drizzle of honey & 2-3 saffron threads & dust with some of the powdered cardamom. Cover & refrigerate until ready to serve.
