Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing moms across the globe!

To celebrate this special day, let’s make this name/ word holder to hold the word MOM.

To make one such word holder, follow the same instructions as for the wooden crate insert name holder on the blog posted on 11/1/15.

Then apply 2 coats of Americana Decor Chalky Paint in white to  the holder and seal it with Americana Dura Clean gloss varnish.

Next step is to marbleize the ornaments and form the word MOM. You will need:

• 3  plain, white ceramic, Christmas ornaments
• 3 or (any number) of nail polish shades of your choice
• Scribbles 3D paint, Iridescent Gold
• A disposable plastic container
• Toothpicks
• Warm water
• Nail polish remover

Fill the container with warm water and add a few drops of the nail polish.  With a toothpick, gently swirl  the nail polish drops to form a marble like pattern.  Dip the ornament and roll it around to cover the surface of the ornament with the nail polish.  Repeat till entire surface is covered.  It is important to work quickly  as the nail polish can dry.  Allow the ornament to dry for about 2-3 hours.  Repeat the same procedure with the 2 other ornaments.

Then using 3-d paint, draw the letters M, O, M on the surface of the ornaments.  Use the nail polish remover to clean up any nail polish mess.

Once dry, place the ornaments over the wooden crate name / place holder.
